As a part of the application process, students are required to complete an English and Spanish placement test that will determine the track to which they are designated.
The Language Transition Track A (Native Spanish Speakers) focuses on native Spanish speakers with a high intermediate knowledge of English and combines intensive English work with course work in Spanish. By the third semester, students will have developed their English skills to the level that all course work can be taken in English. The Language Development Track B (Spanish/English and Bilingual Speakers) is designed for students who have a Spanish/English or bilingual background. This Track further enhances the student's English and Spanish in order to be competitive in the academic and career arenas. Click to view the "B Track" Curriculum.
The Language Development Track C (English Speakers with none to little Spanish background) is designed for students who have little to no Spanish background. Similar to the previous, Track C is designed to enhance the student's English while familiarizing them with exposure to the Spanish language in order to be competitive in the academic and career arenas.
